If they would use the money to relocate villages, the people dont have to walk for days to get water or food. Or why dont they build a waterpump in the village ? I believe a lot help could be way more effective.

  1. That is much easier said than done. To relocate entire villages would be extremely difficult and expensive. Also, a big reason why some areas are so dry is because of the lack of vegetation which prevents erosion (trees are usually cut down for money, etc.).

However, with the water pump idea, that's a little more realistic. There are charities that do find ways to bring water to villages by supplying wells, or educating communities on how to use resources and store rain water.
