Why dont crows get shocked when they sit on electric wires?

  1. u get an electric shock only when the charges flow through ur body.. and for charges to flow there must be a potential difference..suppose a crow is on a 440V line..its whole body is at a potential of 440V so the charges dont flow.. suppose a part of it touches the ground which is at 0V then it gets a shock of 440V and dies immediately.. or the wire next to it if its at a different potential say 220V..then there is a difference of (440-220)V..i.e., 220V of current flows through the crows body...


    it applies to humans as well u can hang suspended from 10000V wire nothing affects u.... but if u touch the ground.even god cant save u
