  1. Not sure what you mean on this one.

A full face motocross helmet is supposed to be used with goggles. If you use a road bike helmet with a full visor you will get very hot and look stupid.

  2. DIrt bike helmets are used with goggles instead of face shields because face shields can not complete seal out the dust and dirt that offroad riders face.  Goggles seal to your face and protect your eyes from debris.

  3. Some of the answers above are not too bad. My addition would be that, with goggles, you can use tear offs for muddy conditions and, they wouldn't work too well with a full face shield. Tear offs being the goggle shaped plastic shields that go over the lenses of the goggles. When they get too dirty to see through, you tear off one and the next one takes over (you put enough on, at the same time, so you can tear them off and have more underneath. Hence the name.).

  4. Because the people who make them are too lazy to put them on.

  5. thats why they have goggles and plus they have visors

  6. because they have goggles. and is you really want to be protective get the oakley ones with the nose gaurd.

  7. Probably because if you had a face shield the inside would get really  hot and humid. Plus it's always nice to get a good breeze going on your face while your racing
