Why dont figure skaters get dizzy doing spins?

  1. At the begginning it's hard, but once you've done it so many times, you get used to it.


  2. figure skaters do get dizzy doing spins, especially at first. it takes a lot of getting used to.

    some people think figure skaters 'spot' like ballerinas-- we don't, because it just isn't possible with the speed of the spin.

  3. I notice that the more focused I am the less dizzy I get. If I am not that focused then its easy for me to get dizzy.

  5. You don't look at your feet - that's a sure way to get dizzy.

    I used to get dizzy when I first started spins but you get more used to it from practice.  I got an off-ice spinner and would jump on it all the time even when I couldn't get to the rink.

  6. You learn how to focus on a single point, along with getting used to spinning. It takes a lot of time to get really good at it, but with practice it comes.

  7. because as they spin, there head moves in a certain way so that they wont get dizzy, watch a video on a figure skater spinning on youtube or something, then youll see how their head turns a certain way when they spin
