Why dont my guinea pigs sleep?

they lay down and stuff but like if im up late like at 3 theyre still not asleep! they like never sleep and im worried about them not sleeping? why wont they sleep?

guinea pigs are nocturnal animals. they sleep during the day and are awake all night.

ok - i read on a bunch of websites that they ARE nocturnal. it says

"Since they are nocturnal (active at night), guinea pigs require quiet rest periods during the day."
