Why dont my hermit crabs eat?

they might eat but why dont i ever see them eat?

As long as they are still alive chances are they are eating. Unless you are watching them 24/7 you probably aren't going to see them eat.

It has to be warm enough. I put mine in a sink and lightly wet their food. Also gave them a chunk of apple and crackers with peanut butter. It had to be dim lighting. When they saw my shadow approaching, they would pull into their shells. After a couple hours of eating I would give them an inch of warm water to wash all the food out of their shells and return them to their habitat. I never fed in the habitat as it made a bacteria breeding ground.

My hermit crabs always ate at night.  If they aren't dead, then they are eating.  ( I gave mine cornmeal, they lived a long time )  (also make sure to have a sponge of water in there- one of those natural sponges is nice!! )

all the other people r right. but if uu really wanna make sure, u could offer them some of these treats. i did it and half an hour later, it was all gone. ur hermit crabs may just be bored of the same food

-brightly colored vegetables (corn, carrots, lettuce, potato, squash)

-fruit (pineapple, apple, pears, grapes, cantaloupe, watermelon, mango, papaya, strawberries, banana)

- steamed shrimpt tail, steak or chicken, non-marinated to grill lightly, ham, meat

-peanut butter on whole what toast, hard boiled eggs, egg shells (boiled), popcorn (no butter), nuts, applesauce, raisins, honey, trail mix, cereal, crackers, washed grass

haha yeah just don't feed them the same thing twice in a row and they can easily go for a couple days without food, but they usually eat a little bit every day.
