Why dont penguins feet freeze?

  1. They circulate lots of blood through thier feet to keep them warm

    they also have a high metabolism rate which also helps keep them warm


  2. because they are obviously used to their enviornemnt and if their feet froze then they would live in the cold.

Penguins have several adaptations to make sure their feet won't freeze.  One is thick skin and good insulation.  Another is called counter-current flow where cold blood from veins in the feet is brought back through warm blood from arteries coming from the body core.  This allows the blood to keep warmer, and prevents the cold blood from the feet from shocking te body when it returns to the heart.
