People agree with war, people disagree with war and to anyone who assumes I dont know the whole picture... well I dont. But my last question has a lot more truth to it than some people think they know. We have our own war here. Our own people are killing eachother. I dont see Bush helping Katrina Victims. Or helping tornado victims in tennessee,or our own starving people who cant even get a job because Bush is sending our jobs over to China. I dare anyone who reads this to go into any store, go see where it was made. 90% of the time you wont see USA on the back. So why dont you get mature KEITH and opens your eyes a little bit wider to see the truth.

  1. If you think it is bad now, then you should have seen oops not seen it during Vietnam. Cable news is two edged sword. For all the additional coverage you get-- you get an equal amount of propaganda. Staged events can be use to change the subject, and what bigger staged event than war. Time and history are best truth tellers.

  2. Believe me from personal experience in 1968-69, we don't have war here in America.

We have serious concerns - and we don't seem to be getting many viable solutions from our representatives on Capital Hill.

In all fairness to the government, in many cases there seems to be a lack of personal responsibility and self reliance on the part of the people involved in these disasters and policies that you pointed out in your question - the government cannot be all things for all people - we must assume some of the burden and change with the times - and not always wait for Uncle Sam to rescue us.

  3. In today's complex world NO ONE ever gets the whole picture.

A classic example is the police man interviewing six eye witnesses at a simple auto accident and receiving six different accounts.

In any situation there is what happened, what each individual thinks happened, and the final agreed upon appearancy of the event which is rarely really accurate.

Add politics to that and distortions become more evident.

Blaming EVERYTHING on George Bush is simple mental laziness. He isn't a very good President, but he does not not deserve the bad rap for his not taking care of problems others should take care of themselves.

Individual responsibility BUILT America. It an solve America's problems. Most Government is a costly, inefficient, and managed by a bunch of incompentent self-interested bureaucrats.

People being self reliant can cut the cost of government and make for a more prosperous nation with a smaller, less invasive government.

  4. War is a RACKET. Large numbers of American soldiers are put in harm's way and have no say as to whether or not they go to war. A very small number of Americans benefit from going to war. The Halliburton's, KBR, BlackWater's, Lockheed Martin, weapons, uniforms, ammunition and ration manufacturers, as well as the oil companies that supply oil and gasoline for transport to and from the country we're at war with and provide oil/ gas for vehicles used in-country. And then of course there are the contractors that rebuild the country after we blow it up. If you've never read it, check out General Smedley Butler's book "War is a Racket." It's an eye- opening read.
