Why dont professional pool players use titanium pool sticks?

i always see them with wooden sticks, whats the difference, is there an advantage or disadvantage to titanium sticks? and wahts the difference between two peice or three peice pool stick, there any ups or downs to more peices?

  1. I've never heard of a titanium cue, but a three piece cue would be a jump/break cue, meaning you unscrew the butt piece and have a short cue ideal for jumping.


  2. It s probably the weight factor and a good one is well worth the expense.

    A Three piece is ideal for long shots, standard shots and short ones ( when there isn't much room behind you)

    Remember a full length table is 12' long which can leave you with some extremely long reaches

  3. I expect most of the reason is tradition. Wooden cues are what people grew up using. So, this is what most, if not all, pro players use.

  4. Because nothing beats a wood cue and a pro knows that

    And our freind is right they are used for jump cues with the butt unscrewed

    titanium cues would be like a yugo in the Daytona 500
