Why dont the poor and hapless Indian get into Olympics ? ?

we see all rich and affluent who has good background only get into sports i india,is it a riches only territory? are there no archers,swimmers,shooters,sprinters,jump... in this vast contry??

u r right poverty is the main prob in our country.. there r so manny best other players than sachin, sania, saina,rajavarthan rathod, n manny others its the poverty which delays them back .. all that we can do wait our country till it becomes a developed country... 2 overcme these probs.....

I think the caste system holds sway still in India.  The higher the caste the more opportunities you have to play the sport of your dreams.

Its' simply because the funds which are allocated for our sports sector never reaches the ones whom it is intended for and the projects starts and ends up in paper and we dont think of  other sports till we find ourselves that the nation with the second largest population in the world has returned with an empty hand without troublying the medal tally . We think only of cricket and let the bloody politicians eat up the money kept aside for sports projects. its time to react man... come on... make a move...there will be millions of others who share your view but often dont think of the causes.

Because a lot of them are extremely poor and are too busy being impoverished to care about the Olympics or possibly things like sports are not a big priority in the nation.
