why dont we just build a dome covering the U.S? we can have each state vote on what the temperature min/max and avg should be for each of the four seasons. each state will have its own separate thermastat and the voting could be done during elections. this way everyone will be happy and we would get better voter turnout because we are all passionate about the weather. what do you think?

  1. why dont we just build a dome over ur house? idiot..

  2. because we'd be trapped

  3. What about rain and sunlight?

  4. what yer worrying about.when the time comes.all the high powered and highly intellectual will look after ther selves somewhere safe and the rest of us will be left to fry.

  5. What happen if the hurricane would devastes it?...fires?..

  6. In the foreseeable future, it would be impossible to build.  What would you do with the exhaust gasses?  How would sunlight get to crops?  What would be the costs?  How would people and goods move from one state to another?

Voting is a means to an end.  It is not the final goal.  In the old Soviet Union they had voter turnouts over 90%, although they had no real choices.  Everyone was "strongly encouraged" to vote.

  7. The birds would hit their heads and fall down

  8. WHAT ABOUT THE REST OF THE WORLD? what about the animals, our oceans, space!

  9. I'm sure they're planning that...right after that fence out in the desert (shouldn't be too much longer...).

  10. I guess because it is stupidest idea I've ever heard.

  11. Why don't they build a dome over the United States? Sorry, that's not the answer, our country has better things to do(than worry about your suggestion??) like trying to shoot down an errand satellite: hurray! this little exercise was a success, I think the so called friend nations(China, & Russia)now really should be worrying about how great America is when it comes to creativity, and not demand(without any right) for more input about the same(shooting exercise). Thanks!

  12. Sure, why not?  You can be in charge, so I'll be watching for when you get to my state. I'll volunteer to nail in my share of nails into this structure you're building. How long to you think it will take to draw up the specs on this? And do the prep work like the air filtration system and how to get sunlight into the space so the trees and plants will continue to grow? Please hurry because I won't live forever.  Okay!

Edit: I can't believe people are taking this so seriously. But I love the comment about the birds hitting their heads. That's my favorite so far.

  13. why not?

    Epic cost

    Altering of weather patterns unpredictably

Cost of actually heating / cooling such a dome

Lack of enough material to actually build such a structure.

There is no way to construct such a thing.

  14. We dont have that type of money

How are we supposed to get sunlight?

Is it even possible to build a dome over the united states? What about Alaska and Hawaii

How are we supposed to fly in and out of the conutry?
