Why dont they drain the oceans to stop global warming?

it would make a lot of sense if we did away with the oceans to get rid of global warming. not only would it stop global warming but it would give us so much more land for farming. what is stopping us from doing this?

I'm with you wolf. Drain the oceans. Put all the water in volcanoes because that **** is hot. Kids could burn themselves. My cousin did.

Because our oceans serve as one of the major sinks (as in remove CO2) for greenhouse gases. MOreover, oceans regulate climate and keep this from becoming a horrible inhospitable place.

Because they can't find where the plugs, I mean the stoppers are located. It's probably too far to reach and you could get eaten by a shark to reach your arm down so low.

Imagine you find the plug from your boat, but then when your hand emerges out of the water with the stopper, your entire arm is missing! Seriously, that could hurt..!

You need to position youranus outside towards the sun. If nothing happens you are in the wrong area, so go for malls and shopping centers and try again. Good luck!

You aren't serious are you?  Where would they drain it to?  Do you think there is a big stopper in the bottom of the ocean?  you don't think we need the water on the planet?  The tides and oceans have an important role to play on our earth.  What would happen to all the ocean life?  

But maybe that is a good idea.  Then we could stand across the globe aholding hands  with our brothers and sisters from other lands and sing Kum Ba Yah.  Yeah, that sounds like a plan.

ugh...that would be ugly.  

All the methane produced by fishy (their excretions) go down to the ocean floor, getting rid of the ocean (if you can do that) result in  the methane going into the air which means more global warming and a nasty smell.
