  1. Good question.  It seems like a great idea.  It could help with a bunch of the replay's to make sure we get the right decision on tries/no tries.

    The only reason I can see for not having the camers in the goal posts is because the replay angle has to be really close to the ground to see if the ball is grounded, so the camera needs to be close to the ground.  The goal posts have the big pads around the bottom so that the players wont get hurt so you can't really put a camera in the bottom of the post.  Having a hard camera in the pad wouldn't work either since the pads can twist and turn and the hard camera could cause injury.

    You can't really put camera's in the corner flags either since they need to be flexible to stop players being hurt as well.  They should just dedicate a few camera's purely for goal line plays... but this would cost extra money so I doubt they'll do it.
