Why don`t they stamp your passport at the canadian border?

I travel alot to Canada , and one thing I have always noticed is how come they never stamp the passport ? Kind of would be nice to have canadien stamp on my passport lol

is it possible they would stamp it if I asked ?

  1. I could ask the same question of the US we cross almost on a weekly basis and they never stamped my passport. I would need a binder if they did stamp it every time.  


  2. The line ups are huge and waiting is not fun. Maybe they might give you one if you asked.

  3. I think it's just because the corssings are so busy.

    If you ask them, they will stamp it for you.  They understand that many people want it for a souvenir.  I once had to convince a Swedish border guard that I really wanted a stamp.  He didn't speak English, I don't speak Swedish -- but I finally got my point across.  I have the stamp.
