  1. lol yeah there's no ovens in the lab.

  2. There are no ovens in science labs.

  3. I guess science class has changed a lot since I was in high school because we dissected live animals not preserved ones.  But those could not be eaten 1. because they were not raised to be eaten and therefore we have no way of knowing what they've been eating and 2. they are usually anesthetized before dissection and the anesthesia stays in their systems once dissected and you don't want to ingest that. 3. Students often puncture organs like the liver or gall bladder during dissection containing toxins, like bile, that spread throughout the system and you don't want to mess with that.

  4. I have only dissected frogs.  And I'm sorry, I'd rather throw it out that put it on my plate.

  5. I think its a mental thing.

    (ok, so maybe not really)

  6. I remember that they were in some kind of chemicals/preservatives. I wouldn't want to be eating that.♥

  7. because they're kept amonium(?) well it's something toxic that can't be eaten. that's why they have that vinegar smell to them, they're kept in it to keep from rotting.

  8. Cause they soak them in formaldehyde before we cut into them

  9. It's the preservation in formaldehyde.  Also it's usually students that disect them, and would you really want to eat something that a snot nosed kid cut open, and played with?

  10. because they are only for scientific reasons not put in the food chain that would kill people all the drugs they use in them

  11. Because they were preserved in formadehyde or some such thing.

  12. There is an aquatic animal where we disect them and thereafter put some ingredients in it. Consequently, after having it soanked for about an hour, it is now ready to cook. The aquiatic fish am referring is the milk fish termed in our native language as "bangus". This is very delicious and one of the favorites of Filipinos.

However, if you are referring to the animals that were disected for study purposes. This is a different thing because as other posters had mentioned this animals usually contains formaldehyde used as preservatives. We know very well that these formula is toxic. Now, what if after studying it, you eat the same. Death is very much likely to happen.

Thanks for aksing. Have a great day!
