It is a good idea, although the fact that so many people would participate, lowering your chances greatly of winning. Also, since there are many others playing, then there is a chance that another person out there could have the same answer as the winner, therefore there would be a problem, since chances are the winner wouldn't want to share the prize with the other person. This may not happen everytime, but it is bound to happen at least once.

It's a great notion to consider something like that, but the people wouldn't agree on where the money would go.

Lotteries make way more than they pay out. So, where would the profits go? Who would enforce where the profits go?

It simply would not be realistic.

That would simply give the lottery commision many hundreds of millions more people to give MY lottery winnings to... Powerball does enough of that already...

Actually, it's not a bad idea, kind of like a Global version of the multistate Powerball lottery. There would be problems and arguments concerning how the proceeds are allocated, of course, with wealthier nations demanding the biggest share, as always. Keep the price of a ticket at around $1 and I'd participate...

And... they say the profits of the lottos will go to schools (in the US... if that was true... there should be enough lotto money to ELIMINATE school taxes... becasuse less than 10% of the money taken in goes out for prizes.
