Why dont we remember anything before the age of three?

My daughter has been on so many holidays, but she'll not remember any of them...

  2. Because our long term memory is not formed yet. It's actually the age of 2. There will be some vague memories that your daughter should have before the age of 3, but not many. From 2 to 3 is when we start forming our long term memory. It's definitely a lot more formed by 3, but still she won't hold a lot of memories until like 4 or 5.
