because this is where i am supposed to be in this minute. in 8? minutes when my son is tenatively sleeping i am going to whoop my 11 year old at checkers, and then come back here, for more adult time.

lol it's funny how you contradict your question. The fact that you are asking why people live on the internet, when you yourself are asking this on the internet. try practicing what you preech. I'll keep my internet usage, as I go on when i'm not working or at the gym, or with friends, or doing whatever else I like to do. There is nothing wrong with using the internet, if you can't handle it, why dont you go and walk up and down the street and ask "why do ppl not have lives?"

Everyone has a life. Some people spend more time on the computer. There's nothing wrong with that if the person is happy with that.
