Why dosent my assassin's creed game work for my xbox 360 but my other games work fine!?!??!?!?

i got this new game yesterday and i tryed it on my xbox 360 and it dosent work. the game is called assassin's creed and i push new game so it loads for about 6 sec. and then it freezes and it has no scraches on it. so i put my old game in the xbox 360 and it works fine. please help me!
