  1. She is smarter than you are. She knows she is too young to be bred, and that toy dogs often have problem pregnancies. Please just spay her and love her.

  2. I do not understand the question, sorry..Have her spayed so there is no problems if that's what you mean.

  3. She knows that there are already too many puppies in the world and so she doesn't want to add to the sad statistic of perfectly healthy puppies being destroyed cos there aren't enough homes for all of them.  She probably also knows that you are not educated enough in the breeding of animals to know if she needs assistance when she gives birth - which, as she knows, she probably will.

She is probably also afraid that you won't be able to afford the high cost of a litter of puppies, especially as she will probably need to have a caesarian to help her give birth.  (They cost around $1500 where I live).  She also knows that puppies eat lots of premium grade dog food and will need to be wormed, have vet checks and be vaccinated, and she knows that isn't cheap.

She also doesn't really want to experience pregnancy and birth cos she knows that will be unpleasant and downright painful.

She is probably also very afraid for what kind of world her babies will be born into.  She is worried that even if you do manage to find them good homes that the circumstances may change in the home due to divorce, etc and her babies will find themselves in a kill shelter, on death row, hoping against hope that someone will take them in time, but also coming to terms with the real possibility they will be killed.

Check out this link and I think you may understand her very real concerns.

  4. She's to young to have puppies. If you were a responsible breeder you would know that. Have her fixed.

  5. No, she's just smart enough to know that she doesn't need to have puppies as there are already too many unwanted dogs/puppies in the world. She would probably really happy if she were to be spayed.

By the way, dogs don't have periods, they go into heat or estrus. A human period serves the complete opposite of an animal estrus.

  6. DO NOT BREED YOUR DOG!!!!! THERE ARE ENOUGH DOGS OUT THERE WITHOUT HOMES!!!!

  7. Because she's smart! She knows she isn't old enough to have puppies and she probably know she isn't breeding quality - that or she knows you don't have the couple grand saved up to give her proper vet care during pregnancy!

No honestly, dogs need to be two years old to breed. They also need to go through specific genetic testing and earn Ch titles to prove that they are good examples of their breed. Not to mention YOU ned to be knowledgable about breeding, whelping, raising pups, AND you need to have a few grand saved up for costs of care.

Add - She may just not be social. Did you have her around other dogs as a puppy? Don't push it and spay her ASAP.

  8. Be grateful that she doesn't want puppies...what would you do with them?

Its not fair to have puppies and then take them the pound to be put to sleep.

If you don't have a good home for at least six puppies, don't breed her.

  9. Maybe you should take the hint and have her spayed. Would you really want to MAKE her deliver if she doesn't want to? And she's way too young to have puppies. AND the puppies would be mutts, which there are a surplus of dieing every day in shelters.

  10. shes been traumatized..
