Why dosent my star sign describe me?

My star sign is cancer, and my moon sign and rising sign are both gemini. i have some characteristics, like a big imagination, and creativity but the rest is the complete opposite! im not that senitive, or an advice person, im not shy, and i have a really bad temper, why is this? i dont think i should change most of my personality just so that im exactly how my sign says im supposed to be...

i've thought about it and it dosent seem to make sense. Are star signs actually that reliable?

Hi Cancer :D No one says you have to change your personality to fit anything....stars just guide they don't have rules. But, I think it is funny! You just decribed a little of your personality & it fits with your signs. And you need to look at your whole chart not just those 3 signs there is more to astrology than most think. You need to learn how to mix signs & see other influences to make you stronger or weaker in an area & learn what a positon means to contribute to your personality. Yes, cancers are sensitive people but they kind of like to act emotionally tough anyways. Plus, the fact your moon is in gemini & that rules over emotions. Gemini moons are air signs making them detached or insensitive to some things, which differs from your water sun. And you have a gemin rising that goes into making you less emotional. I don't know why you put you don't give advise? That is just suggestive that you could be good at it that is not a personality trait. If your not shy that is because of your gemini influences they can be very curious & socialable towards people or aloof. And it just says cancers can be reserved to new situations making them shy, but they come out of their shell to become more social anyways. And bad temper? Cancers can get pretty angry to begin with they are water signs & get in tune with moods & get angry, plus gemini moons can get impatient & jumpy making them very frusterated. And look at your Mars sign that contributes to anger & aggression amoung other things like passion & attraction. And like you said your imaginative & creative like a cancer & thought oriented like a gemini to add to that. The two air against your one water can make changes & it is kind of like a struggle for you to mix together & learn from (aspect). But, your cancer sign is still you, but it seems hidden maybe but it is you. (The sun is your true face, the moon the hidden face, the rising the mask that covers them.) So you do act like your signs....so your already like them wheather you noticed or not. Everyone is doing what they are supposed to be doing & acting anyways too. Your doing what your doing & acting like your acting nautrally...get it? Regardless if they believe in astrology or not it is still working for them & around them. And, you need to research more & read up on everything you can find & you will be suprised on how it describes you. Don't base somethings you read to be untrue if you don't look it up more & see the influences. you have a conflict between your sun and your rising that's all. your sun sign or star sign is your soul. it is your inner self. your reason for living. your rising sign comes in like a shield and it is the face that you show to the world. it is how you go about fulfilling the souls desires and is how you behave and relate to the real world instead of the spirit world.

your sun is cancer, so inside you are really more sensitive than you think and more than you let on to be believed. inside you are intuitive, even if you havent' tapped that power yet. you are catering to those you love and will get things started and are a natural born leader.

but on the outside, your consciousness we will say, you go about getting what your soul wants by being the gemini. you are talkative, light hearted, not too keen for rules, regulations, responsabilities, and things of great importance. you are friendly, and shallow and seem to be so emotionally detached that you have no love or caring at all in your heart. your soul cries for a deep connection to others, but your outer self just doesn't seem to care about such things.

the gemini rising will allow you to go about the cancers sun desires to not be hurt by others and to not be used and foolish, it will do this by you not getting emotionally detached to others. the gemini moon allows you to not be shy, and to not be sensitive to what others say or do.

the bad temper is really cancer though. i must say, that is the moodiness you read about! cancer can be so light hearted and happy one minute then become deeply enraged the next for whatever reason big or small.

if you were to start tapping into the natural psychic energies of the water signs(cancer, pisces, scorpio) then you would see just how important your sun sign/star sign is! as a cancer your soul needs to be heard and to be worked like a muscle. you do protect it ferociously, by not getting attached to others.

Well your situation is totally like mine!!

I am a Capricorn, but i behave 80% like a Gemini, other 10% like a Sagittarius and the other like Capricorn ...

Your star sign is the sign which the Sun occupied at your birth....but now there is something in astrology which says that the planets due to their positions become BENEFIC or MALEFIC... meaning good or bad....now it is benefic when it is strong and malefic when weak....

so if you are a Cancer, and you behave more like the other sign then it means that the ruler(planet) of that sign is stronger...than the sun...
