Why double standard for swimsuits?

Why is it that there is a double standard for swimsuits? Girls always wear tight, skimpy bikinis, but if a boy wears a tight Speedo they get laughed at. What's the difference?

  1. The fashion police decided a few years ago that men should not show any leg above the knee, now they are afraid to wear anything that is above the knee. I think it is stupid. Speedo type briefs are more comfortabe for swimming than boardshorts, dry quicker, and you get a better tan. You can also wear square cut suits if s brief is too short for you. The boardshorts most guys wear today are more like capri pants for men. and they look stupid to me.

  2. So many people think a Speedo type brief is not manly, looks like a bikini bottom you write of, feminine.

Each have a purpose, in an hour or less when I go swim laps at the YMCA, I will be wearing a brief.

If you don't like how I look, don't look at me.

People just have to get over it.
