Why drive manual/stick??

why do ppl drive a manual transmission instead of an automatic?

its less likely to have a transmission problem on a manual transmission than an automatic theres more parts in the automatic.

Since there's a solid connection between the engine and transmission (the clutch) the engine is more efficient at putting power to the ground so they are quicker, and lighter. Also better fuel economy due to the same reason, a solid connection.

The way an automatic works is hydraulic pressure. The torque converter pumps transmission fluid creating hydraulic pressure to move the car, no solid link. The only time the two are locked together in an automatic is in overdrive, or lock-up as some people call it.

Also, some people just enjoy driving standard, something to do while driving. Also, automatics are more expensive.

because its fun to change gears and it keeps your mind active while your driving,and on some of them you will get a little better gas mileage also,but most of us learned to drive on a stick shift,everyone should know how to drive one though just in case of an emergency and if you had to do it,i like changing gears though,when i get to lazy to change gears i don't need to be driving,good luck.

People Drive Manuals Because it uses less gas.Because an automatic uses more gas so it can change gears a manual transmission is cheaper on gas and that saves you money.
