  1. to check your lead amount. :) to see if there is anything wrong in your theroid glands too :)

  2. The blood tells many stories.  It can tell if you are at risk for heart problems, diabetes, oxygenation problems, Kidney function, Liver function, electrolytes, signs of infection, etc...

  3. They usually check your blood count (CBC).  If your white blood cell count is high, it could indicate an infection.  They might also test your blood sugar to see if you are diabetic, and they might test your blood to see if your thyroid is working ok. You could ask the doctor what tests were done on your blood.

  4. besides the reasons already given, there is anemia, liver function, etc.  Lots of reasons to take blood.

  5. Well that blood the doctor takes can tell a lot of wat is going on with you body?
