Why even run the Preakness? Should all the horses forfeit to Big Brown?

What's the point of even running this race? The best thing Big Brown can accomplish is just not get hurt.

I know what you mean, if Big Brown runs like he did in the Derby then theres no chance for any of the other horses!!!

When what you described happens, its called a walkover. This happened to Spectacular Bid in 1980, when he had no challengers in the Woodward. Bid still had to run the race and cross the finish line, however.
