I think bhajji is a very hot sardar and even made comments against Boycott in the Ganguly-Boycott contriversy.The main reason is that Sreeshanth must have provoked him or it might even have been a publicity stunt.

People say that when Bhajji went to shake hands(Like it is always done)with Sreesanth...Sree mouthed"Hard Luck" to Harbhajan which earned him a hard SLAP by the latter.

But when the video was seen by Nanavati he said tht Sree dint provoke him as there were no proofs which would support this statement...So maybe Bhajji was frustrated by the match and hit him hard...or maybe jealousy..

Bhajji was frustrated by his team's defeat, meanwhile Sree just came to shake hands with him and said "Hard Luck". Thats it and that Bhajji slapped him! It was really a unacceptable behaviour.....How dare Bhajji slap him? But as the truth always wins in the end, Bhajji was rightly punished by Farookh Engineer (the match refree) and BCCI too. Bhajji was totally wrong in this case, he should 've controlled his anger!

When Mumbai lostto Punjab in the IPL match, Sreesant is said to have passed a remark "Hard luck" to Harbhajan Singh, who had captained Bombay side.  Harbhajan was already upset and angry over the defeat and when he heard the remark of Sreesant, he lost his control and slapped him.
