Why extreme Calvinist love to stress on God's wrath and judgement and keep accusing Charismatic churches preaches too much on God's love?

Are most of the extreme calvinist s****.? They seems to stress alot on theology and logic and despise those who didn't have a high understanding in their so called "theology", setting a standard for themselve and coerce other christian to follow, those who didn't hold their theology concept are being bashed up.

It seems like some of them have minor obssesive compulsive disorder, stressing heavily on God's wrath. ( I am not accusing them of something, these are just my opinion).

Ps: Some of the charismatic churches maybe had gone overboard and stress too much on God's love and ditch the concept of sin entirely, but not ALL christian are doing so, as if they are obssesed with criticize, locking up a small bunch of charismatic christian as targer and attack them all the day long.

  1. God is powerful and u must fear his power, but they're missing out on the love he has 4 us! We r his Children and he loves us sooo much that he sent his son 2 die on the cross so we could have the choice 4 him 2 guide our life and b free from sin! So we wouldn't have 2 carry the burden(guilt)of our sins!

He wants a relationship with us, but many rn't opening their heart 2 him! Y not love the one who created u?

  2. If by "preaching too much on God's love" you mean that Calvinists reject the idea of God's favor toward all of humanity, you're correct.  "Giving everyone a chance" puts man in charge of God, and Calvinists believe that you have this idea backwards.  It is God who is in charge of man, and He does as he wills with his creation.

I'm sure you can find verses that support a "God loves everyone" position, but how do you explain a flood that wiped out most of civilization?  How do you explain Sodom and Gomorrah? how do you explain the second death of revelation?  Does God lovingly place those who hate him, into h**l?  And this is where charismatics will back away from their "God loves everyone" position and say that God is just.

Wrath is a valid, biblical attribute of God.  He has a tremendous love for His own, so much so that He has predestined some to come to Him in His own time, not ours. Christians are saved from eternity, to eternity, some of them just don't know it yet. We can realize it on a certain date, but that date belongs to God, not us.

  3. In every group of people you are going to get extremists.  This is unfortunate but the way it is.

When I say I am a Calvinist, I mean that I agree with his teachings.  I believe that in his teachings Calvin accurately explained the theology in the Bible.  It is my opinion that to properly understand the amazing and immeasurable love and grace of God, we need to understand the all encompassing nature of sin in our lives and the wrath of God that such rebellion rightly deserves.  If we do not understand how desperately we need a Saviour, how can we fully grasp what God has done for us?

I have been studying theology for the last 10 years or so and I believe that I have only just scratched the surface.  I do not expect every Christian to pursue such a study, but I do expect that Christians should be taught correct doctrine by their leaders.  I also expect that Christians want to get it right when it comes to what they believe and why.

If Christians are going to answer questions about God from non-Christians shouldn't they know what they are talking about?  This doesn't mean reading multiple volumes of theology written by great theologians throughout the ages, but it does mean putting a bit of effort into studying the Bible.
