  1. When in doubt just remove the other person and test the sentence.

So, George and I went swimming... becomes "I went swimming" - which is correct.

George and me went swimming ... becomes "Me went swimming" which is obviously wrong.

Now, if you want to say "Sue went swimming with George and me" or "Sue went swimming with George and I" you can do the same thing and you'll quickly see that the only one that sounds right (and is correct) is: Sue went swimming with ME. (Because Sue went swimming with I just sounds ridiculous!)

  2. If George weren't there, would "I" or "me" make the most sense. Just say or ask the sentence without George in it and see if it sounds right.

  3. same as below

  4. 1.   George and I went to the park.

In this case, "George and I" are the subjects of the sentence.

If you said "George and me went to the park", it would be wrong.

To be sure, take George out of the sentence-- "Me went to the park." That doesn't make any sense, but "I went to the park" does.

    2.   Here's a picture of George and me at the park.

In this case, "George and me" are the objects.

If you said "Here's a picture of George and I at the park", it wouldn't be right.

Again, to be sure, take George out of the sentence-- "Here's a picture of I at the park." That doesn't make any sense at all, but "Here's a picture of me at the park" does.

  5. SUBJECTS..  ( George and I will throw the ball. ( MUST BE AS SUBJECTS

OBJECTS ( Throw the ball to George and me.)

TRHOW THE BALL TO WHO .. Me ( OBJECT )

  6. Take "George" out of the sentence and try saying it both ways then. For example, "Me went to the store" and "I went to the store". "Me" doesn't make sense. Get it?
