  1. I feel becoz DNA can store genetic information in long span of period when compared to RNA and DNA are only bonded to histones.


  2. Because DNA is unique in that it can replicate to ensure that new cells produced during cell division receive the correct chromosomes with the correct genetic code for protein synthesis.

  3. DNA is chemically less reactive, meaning more stable. It means being protected from excessive mutations which could overcome the repair systems and even loss of information if part of a strand gets degraded.

    Some viruses actually encode their genomic information in RNA.
