Why green always the colour associated with chicken?

chicken chips, chciken noodles, chicken busicuts....just about any flavoring involving chicken is always green.

But I have never seen a green chicken and as far as I know, they dont have green blood!

So why?? Shouldnt it be red or yellow or something like that?

me i have never seen stuff that is green the chips are yellowish and so are the noodles (in New Zealand)
