Blood looks black when it's spilt on green - so not so offputting.

Yellow on the otherhand makes it look a lot worse!

your eyes feel more relaxed when looking at something in green as oppose to other colours.

the colour green also is a good contrast to other medical supplies like bandages, equipments and blood stained items
