Because breast are sign of a fertile woman who can provide for your children. if she has bigger breast then that means if you mate with her your kids will have more milk to drink thus will grow bigger and have a better chance of survival, this has just stayed in our genes since the dawn of humans, and still effects are choice in partner.

It's thought that permanent female b*****s are a substitute for the butt.  Male primates typically are interested in that area because that's where the action is, so to speak.  But once we started walking upright, dynamics changed.  Normally female primares don't grow b*****s unless they're feeding infants, but now, females whose b*****s grew independently of lactation got more attention because the b*****s do bear some resemblance to the behind.

I would assume that the "big breast" thing is just a part of the "more is better" approach to life.  I apply that thinking more to beer than b*****s, myself, but to each his own.
