Why had my beta fish always been hungry...?

Question

I have 3 beta fishes(not in the same thing) and today they have been feed at least 4 times today and they keep going crazy and when you put food in the tank the eat it in like 1 second.....Could anyone tell me whats wrong?

P.S. I feed them daily

well, when they get fed, they just eat it. thats normal.But  it

looks like your overfeeding.Thats ok, nothing serious or life threatining if u stop.Only feed them once or twice a day, but its not ok to feed them 3 times a day. hope i helped! :)    ~Natalie

Fish are oppurtunist feeders meaning they naturally anticipate not  finding food for days so when they do find food they eat like mad no matter how many times it happens.

Fish aren't used to getting fed twice a day. They think they might eat today and not again for a while.

If your feeding a well balanced good quality betta food then no more than twice a day is fine.

Fish are beggars and some are really good at it. Wll know you as the food sorce and go nutz when you enter the room.

An overfed fish is far worse than an underfed fish health wise so don't give in to lots of feedings.

In my tanks fish go one full day a week w/o food so they can burn excess fat stores.

Even a 2 day starve every 2 weeks is really good for them and the tank.

In the wild, fish don't find food every day, so they eat whatever they can whenever it's offered.

You are currently overfeeding your fish. They aren't starving; they just don't stop eating when they're full like we do. Don't give them so much.

fish are always hungry. they have a memory of about 3 seconds. so they don't know when and if they ate.

nothing is wrong, they just like food and your over feeding them. you should only be feeding them once maybe twice a day and the tiniest amount. you will end up with fat fish is all. just like some dogs and people in this case. they will keep on eating anything as long as there is food in front of them. stop feeding them so much coz they will get used to it.
