Her Husband had the easy ride from the start leaving her to pick up the pieces, and it was him who arranged it.....

  1. ......, but she did not help her husband out of his bizarre problems, rather as a bad wife she worsen all the problems by her cover up. I support the justice passed on her 100%.

  2. She claimed he was the one that forced her to continue with the deception but, in reality, she could have told the truth at any time. He was in another country so how could he have forced her to do anything.  How a mother could subject her children, no matter their ages, to a crushing blow like losing their father is beyond comprehension. They deserve their sentences.

  3. Because she was the one who made the claims. It was her signature on the claim for life savings not his.

  4. She claimed the insurance money when she knew he was alive, and I suspect she also spent most if not all of it.  He just kept out of the way.

  5. He admitted his wrongdoing but she lied and wriggled and put the taxpayer to the cost of a trial.

  6. Perverting the course of justice. Not only did she lie to her own sons, she then tries to blame the whole thing onto her husband. Talk about disloyalty. How do we know that she didn't organise the whole thing and not her husband?

  7. It's because she's a woman.

"It is well documented that female offenders are given disproportionately harsher sentences than males. More than a third of female prisoners have no previous convictions - more than double the figure for men - and fewer than a third are convicted for violent offences. The majority of women in prison are convicted of petty offences, such as shoplifting, and pose no danger to the public, yet they are given prison sentences rather than community orders." http://www.guardian.co.uk/society/2008/m...

  8. What amazes me is why people convicted of theft or fraud where no-one really gets hurt often get far heavier prison sentences than murderers, rapists and the like.  It just goes to show how little a human life and suffering can be worth compared to crooks who just steal money.  I know which people I'd rather have clogging up our already overcrowded prison system and it isn't "white collar" criminals like the Darwins.  It's not as if they're hardened criminals or anything.  There's far more deserving people who need locking up and having the key thrown away.

  9. How could any mother lie to her sons about their own father - what must be going through their minds?

She'll have to live with this for the rest of her life.

  10. The simple truth is that he confessed and pleaded guilty, thus saving the cost of a trial. She did not.

  11. because she made the claims, also he owned up while she carried on denying it and forcing a trial by jury and costing the taxpayers money. everyone who pleads guilty gets a lighter sentence than those who continue to deny the obvious. it has nothing to do with her being a woman. the real story states that she kept all the cash and refused to give her husband his share, that is the real reason he went to the police.

  12. You obviously have not followed it at all!!!

She got the longer sentence as the strongest character in the plot and was proved to be the main manipulator in it!!!

If you cannot see that then you are going to be really surprised by the revelations that are now coming out!!

Probably even more surprised when another country seeks their extradition or possibly waits for them to be released so that they can serve their sentence before being arrested!!!
