  1. Not only that, but there are alot of oil refineries and offshore drilling sites in the Southern Gulf Coast region. So, there are alot of American oil investments there.

Not only that, but this hurricane has the potential to be really, really bad.

  2. Because this is something that happens NOW and effect thousands of families in that region.

  3. ITS ALL ABOUT THE MONEY.THATS THE MONEY MAKER AT THE MOMENT AND PEOPLE ARE WATCHING.HECK,IVE BEEN WATCHING FOR THE PAST 10 HOURS MYSELF.

  4. Were you awake when Katrina hit New Orleans? For years after Hurricane Andrew swept through South Florida, every time a hurricane came near the state, all you heard about was, "another Hurricane Andrew". And Katrina was in many ways much more devastating than Andrew... nobody has forgotten that, and nobody wants to relive it.

I personally think it's a fantastic break from the depressing war stories we've been inundated with for the past 7 years.

  5. For one thing you are witnessing history. This is the largest evacuation ever.

  6. CNN is an ultra liberal network that loves any democrat and hates any republican. That's why.

  7. UMMMMMM......did you not see what happened during Katrina...

They think it will be as bad or worse than Katrina! Duh!

Cause it may be another NATIONAL DISASTER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  8. Because millions of people that live in the gulf states (myself included) need to know as much information as we can, plus there may be updates and changes that we may need to keep up with. People usually like to know what's going to happen to their cities during impending disasters.

  9. This hurrican is supposed to be worst than hurricane katrina
