Where do I find a Christian rock to hide under? I also don't like reality so I'd like to hide under a King James type of rock too.

  1. I personally plan to learn Hebrew and Greek so that I can read and understand the original text, so that I can know the truth about the old and new Covenants

  2. if it is The Most Accurate translation then why didnt they translate word "ABI",accurately ?

why word Abi ,translated as father and not as GOD,where as Abi means both father and GOD,depends on what context one is using this word.

this translation has misguided majority of christians to believe jesus as son of god

  3. Thats your opinion.

  4. Could it be that jesus doesn't exist?

    ~

  5. If you want a modern version you can get it.

  6. We all have free choice. You might as well ask the question Why doesn't Jesus make us obey all of the time?

  7. For its time, it was a good translation, considering that is was one of the first English translation. It also drew on the work of the other translators that had often died to get a translation for the English.

Does it mean it is still "good". Yes, you can learn the truth from it, because even with the archaic words, from 4 centuries ago, the teachings are the same as today. The Sermon on the Mount still highlights man's need to pay attention to their spiritual side.

    Is there better, yes.

  8. What you are speaks so loud that I can not hear what you are saying. You show your ignorance of the Bible when you typed the first word.

I suggest you study before making such ridiculous statements.

  9. because he's not real

  10. It's not a horrible translation.  Not the best, but not awful.  But of all the evils in the world, when one would contemplate "Why does God allow this to happen??:....the Holocaust, the Crusades, Catholic s*x scandals, an earthquake, tsunami, or just the car crash that killed a two-year old's parents...you ask about the KJV as a translation?  Twisted.

  11. No matter what translation God can, will, and does protect His

    Word.

My first three Bibles were KJV. I learned much and grew much through the use of them and have only Him to thank for it.

The Spirit of God protects the Word of God.

  12. And you evidence for this is...?

  13. Where are your citations and documentation proving that it is "one of the worst translations of all?"

  14. I disagree.. The King James is the most accurate translation there is..

    God bless you !

  15. I think it's a way for the English version of anything to continue taking over the world:  King James was English.  I think it's the last hurrah of the Crusades.  People who go by the KJV sometimes still call themselves Crusaders.  Notice I wrote this in English.

  16. Did anybody figure out that the King James version was edited by a king named James and his helpers, and translated many things to his liking?

Of course there are better versions, but to rely on the King James version - its not actually the word of God. Its the word of King James. You'd be better off finding another version. Who could even claim that God distinctly said something without actually being there when it was written? Yeah, just find another version.

  17. Because Jesus has no influence over what people choose to read.

  18. Some do while others do not. They feel it is more like the original Bible than others, which I don't think is correct. I read the NIV and I feel it gives the same message as what God wants me to hear. I don't understand your second question, and I think it's rather immateur too.

  19. Facts are stronger than unsupported opinions.

  20. I don't really care for the idea that the King James version is the only version of the Bible that is correct

    That is crazy

But I really like these 2 poetic verses taken out of the KJV

    Romans 8

38For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,

39Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

The main thing is HAVE YOU received JESUS in your heart

and are you possitive that you are following Jesus and are on your way to Eternal Paradise with Jesus forever

    Blessed Assurance

Praise Jesus Our Lord And Saviour

  21. All translations of the Holy Bible are the word of God.

I have several versions - i choose not to read the King James - my fave is the Amplified - it gives the Greek and Hebrew meaning...

We each choose to read the translation that speaks to us the most.

    blessings      ;  )

  22. I'd have to agree with you especially since King James had parts of it written to suit him.  Also, people are creatures of habit.  It's hard for them to change.

  23. The KJV of the Bible was translated from unworthy Old Greek scriptures which predate the Latin Vulgate (which now in english is the Douay-Rheims Bible of the Catholic Church).

Supporters of this version say that because it pre-dates the Latin Vulgate it must be more accurate.  That is where they are wrong.  The Greeks embellished the scriptures to make it more appealing.  Writers were often disciplined and declared heretical. Unfortunately, some of this heresy and inaccuracy found its way into the KJV.  So therefore, it is not only a bad translation, it is wrong!

  24. this is just your opinion not everyone feels this way...i personally like NIV and The Message but KJV is fine as well

  25. Christianity is a religious tradition that has grown over time.  This is true for all religions.  Details like that don't matter.  To understand a religious faith, one needs to look at the big picture.

  26. The KJV is not one of the worst, but one of the best for those who truly study the Word of God with the guidance of the Holy Spirit.

  27. Jesus doesn't run the church, if He did they'd all Be Like Him. Doesn't really matter what translation you use, get the most you can out of whatever translation works best for you, and know allot is missing. The church didn't create the Bible to Enlighten, but to control.

  28. Same reason he allows many to believe the Book of Mormon.
