Tone and content will vary according to who is presently on R&S.

Speaking as a Christian, the Bible is to be taken quite seriously. It deals with serious issues which face all people.

This is lost on many that come here, since the spiritual is not something they can test, touch, examine, or reproduce in a lab somewhere. Science is their god, and the scientists, their priests.

Dealing in the truth (and the Bible says much about human nature) is usually always not a laughable matter.

But it is refreshing to read the occasional off-beat line that makes a person laugh.

With knowledge comes sorrow.

i have tried on occasion to ask serious questions but usually i don't get any kind of answer worthy of the general population that normally answers in this forum

we have some of the most gifted of people and yet they shy away from real questions for fluff

Um, one reason might be because many fun-luvin' denizens of R&S (Christians, Jews, LDSs, atheists, pantheists and pagans alike) have taken refuge elsewhere where they can communicate, debate and discuss religious topics in a tolerant atmosphere without fear of receiving dopey VNs from hideous trolls.

I don't know. I asked an aetheist a question and was told it was not a question by the yahoo answers. Though I actually like not having atheist trying to think they can controll my thinking by saying one sentence of what they think is true and not backing it up with a realistic argument.
