Just a few short months ago, he was quoted as fully supporting the democratic party and parroting that we cant drill our way out of this problem. his song has now changed? i heard an add today, where now hes saying, Drill drill drill?

Typical liberal?

Just for the record, saying we cant drill out of an oil shortage, is like saying we cant farm our way out of a food shortage

Oh and i do know the reasons hes pro wind, but ill let yall do that research on your own.

  1. Yeah, cuz farming through droughts on land that has its nutrients used up always yields a bumper crop.

I have yet to hear of T. Boone changing his mind on the Pickens plan.  He is both an oil man and supporter of alt energy.  I think his mind is more on capital gains to begin with.

  2. T-Boone sees the writing on the wall. We just are not there yet on alternative energy, we are gaining but still not where we need to be.  We need to go Nuclear as well as drilling, and we can put a huge dent in our dependency.

  3. He was never a liberal. He funded the Swift Boat liars!

He's all about the money, which is why he supports oil and natural gas drilling, and alternative energy as he has his fingers in all pies.

  4. the man's name is T. Boone Pickens..i mean do you really expect anything else from him?

  5. T. Boone is an opportunist. His "plan" received a $100K investment from Nancy Pelosi before it ever went public. She has earned $250K so far of that investment of only a year.

There is BIG money in alternate energy fraud.

He wants the Al Gore types in Congress to grease the path so he can get your tax money and land for the massive, inefficient structures that will kill birds and disrupt your lives while making a personal fortune for himself.

  6. First of all he was stupid to begin with to side on the pansy liberal side but either way just look at the school he supports. I rest my case.

  7. Typical Liberal? He is a Republican who gave the maximum contribution to the Bush administration both times that Bush ran for office. The Pickens Plan should be renamed to the make money for Pickens Plan. He is only an advocate of alternative energy because he owns a lot of wind farms and natural gas rights, which is what his plan asks the us to convert to (what a suprise). What I find even funnier about the commercial is that he says drill, drill, drill and then less than one sentence later he states that it will not decrease our dependence on foreign oil (so why drill?).

  8. Do you even know who T Boone Pickens is?

He was saying he wants to DRILL DRILL DRILL  because he's an OIL MAN WHO WILL MAKE TONS OF MONEY OFF OF IT...but his point is stilll "it won't work..."

he's a raging CONSERVATIVE who just so happens to be using his brain when it comes to energy....

he was a MAJOR MAJOR player in the right wing christian coalition movement...and majorly involved in getting Bush elected 2 times.

  9. I hadn't heard him say to drill, drill, drill. I do know he is only in either business for money. He's not shy about saying so. I guess that would make him a conservative, not a liberal.

  10. T. Boone Pickens is a Machiavellian business man.  He sees a whole lot of government subsidies coming into the "wind biz", and he pragmatically wants to get his share from the government t*t.

  11. I don't think he has flip-flopped.  During Congressional hearings on C-SPAN he said we can't rely solely on drilling as a long term cure but while we develop all these technologies and infrastructure we need to drill in the short term.  The man is worth 3 billion dollars, I don't think making more money is his main concern right now.

  12. T. Booger Pickings is a lifelong republican.

He funded the Swift Boat Vets against Kerry.  He has donated exclusively to republicans his whole life.

As a republican, deception is in his blood.  That includes pretending to be supportive of Democrats and alternative energy, but that's only because he's looking for billions in government subsidies.

  13. 1. He's pro-wind because he stands to make money from it.  That's why I trust him.  I know his reasons and they are pure capitalism, that's rational.

    2. The drilling hoax you are talking about is absurd.  Exploring (not drilling) will not yield results for a decade.  Even then, there aren't platforms available.  Even then, the oil will all be exported.  The drilling hoax is about giving the oil industry more export money, that's all.  In ten years, we could kick our dependance on oil all together if the right wing would get out of the pocket of the oil industry.

Nuclear, solar, wind, tidal, geothermal and EV cars can all reasonably be accomplished in ten years.
