I Like Foreigner but you know i totally forgot about that band and they had some real good songs!!! maybe i forgot about them cause i never hear anyone say nothing about them!!! I Know they didn`t have a lot of songs but the ones they had were good and i never see anything about Fog Hat or Bad Company (which i saw Bad Company Live and OMG Not that good Live but do have good songs) I was just wondering

why ???and if its many fans of them out there? Keep in mind I Like them a lot so no need to get mad :) But i do like some other bands better !!

Thanks for answering :)

  1. If Foreigner was still putting out music, they wouldn't be forgotten.

PS.  It's Foghat, not Fog Hat.

  2. Foreigner, like a lot of other more mainstream "arena" bands, was awesome, but after a long period of time out of the spotlight, forgettable.  They had a formula that worked very well for them, but rarely deviated from it and never really took their music to its limits.  They played it safe and were very successful like Journey, REO Speedwagon, Foghat, Bad Company, Styx (if you don't count the abortion that was Mr. Roboto), Loverboy, and many others that I can't pull from memory right now.  It doesn't make them bad bands or bad guys, just not as influential as some of their contemporaries like Rush, Pink Floyd, and Genesis.

  3. i think it was a matter of staying power and so many bands

in that "hair band era" nowadays a band can reach fame allot faster. i really only liked a few cuts truthfully.

right now i am really jamming on "puddle of mudd"

i truly believe that they have the potential for greatness!

if you would like i could share a few of their videos w/you.

there were so many rock bands during that era. it is different now. allot more alt, and many other categories!

  4. Foreigner 4 is still one of my favourite high-energy discs - wall to wall hits!  Urgent, Head Games, Dirty White Boy, Cold as Ice... they are 80s classics.

  5. i still listen to foreiner. in fact my dj is playing some of there music at my wedding in march.

  6. I listen to my 'Foreigner' playlist almost every night with headphones on...lol  I used to love them and still do.  I didn't like their later stuff but loved the first 4 albums (i liked the 5th one only a little bit).  Head Games is my personal favorite album.  I also like a couple of Lou Gramm's solo songs (Theme From Lost Boys(lost in the shadows) and Midnight Blue).  I knew Cold As Ice and Feels Like The First Time from the radio but 'got into' them when they released their 2nd album, 'Double Vision', followed by 'Head Games' and '4' and then they 'jumped the shark' with 'Inside Informer' (actually they might've jumped the shark when they released their first 'love song single', 'Waiting On A Girl Like You'.  I like it now but hated it then.

    My faves are:

    Woman In Black

    Dirty White Boy

    Trampontine

    Urgent

    Do What You Like

    I'll Get Even With You

    Women

    You're All I Am

I Wanna Know What Love Is

    Cold As Ice

    Long, Long Way From Home

    Spellbinder

    Head Games

    Hot Blooded

    Blue Morning, Blue Day

    Night Life

    Modern Day

    and

    Juke Box Hero

    (to name a few...lol)

I MISS Foreigner.  I had tickets in the early 80s to see them AND The Cars together!  Then I got called into work one hour before the concert and (being 16) went to work instead.  I should've told work NO...LOL!  That was one of my worse mistakes :*(

  7. I haven't neither has my dad. (My dad is 48 and I'm 14.)

    So not EVERYBODY has. Lol.

I love Foreigner...but it's probably because Foreigner didn't change the nation, like The Who or The Beatles. Stuff like that...

  8. haven't forgotten them.

heard my favorite of theirs on the radio today, "headknocker", from the first album. was actually kinda stunned that the radio station was playing such a great song!

  9. Yes I'm a fan of all 3 of those bands!!and still listen to the music

in fact around here they are still played on Classic radio stations i do agree about bad company cause i to have seen them live and i was disappointed cause i liked them so much but it`s still good to here their songs!

    My Fav. was" shooting star"
