  2. "In your opinion, what political and/or economic factors caused the price of gasoline to rise over the past few years?"

China, India, and other growing countries driving up demand, the poor value of the dollar, instability in the middle east, crazy people running countries that supply oil to the world, speculators bidding up the price of oil.....it's many things, not just one.

"Also, why is the price of gas so low in the US compared to the rest of the world?"

They have all kinds of taxes and regulation on fuel in other countries that we don't have in the US.

The answer to high gas prices isn't government or people like Obama, the problem is government and people just like Obama.

  3. To me, I think it's something to do with the economy. I think it's because the U.S dollar lost value, so the U.S have to pay a lot more for a barrel of oil then it did years ago. As inflation grows, the U.S dollar loses value againts euros, so the U.S have to give more dollars for a barrel of oil. Also, OPEC I think has or will ask the U.S to pay in euros, instead of U.S dollar.

  4. Americans have seen the price of gas rise more relative to other countries because they have been devaluing the US$ for years. They can't pay their debt.

  5. Actually, gas is going down. I live in California so i dont know about other states.

It is going down an average of 1-2 cents a day. I remember filling up at $4.57 per gallon. Now, I fill up at $3.99 a gal
