  1. Hmmmm...think it started in the Great Depression when things were so bad the only place to go was the gov't. A lot of people (Google Thomas Sowell) say FDR's programs PROLONGED the Depression. If the economy had been left to its own devices it wouldve ended sooner. The gov't always messes up anything it gets involved in.

    Unfashionable? Interesting way to put it.

    Strict Constructionism is the only way to go.
