Why has my 360 page avatar got a white pixelated line as a face outline?

  1. You didn't set the selection for similar colours high enough when you removed the background to fill it with the bucket paint tool.

    I am not sure what program you are using but the easiest way to fix it is just to delete your backround colour with the selection wand set a bit higher and then fill it again with the bucket tool, or you could just use the pencil tool to fill the white pixels with background colour.

    What is happening is the anti-aliasing is blending the pixel colours near the face to reduce the jagged line effect so when you try editing the image by selecting for colour it reads the edge pixels as a different colour.

    Turning anti-aliasing off during editing can avoid this if you are drawing the image but it doesn't change anything on an image you imported


  2. Did you download your Yahoo avatar as a png file and then change the file format to Jpeg? If you are using a downloaded to your computer avatar image.. something has happened between your computer and yahoo.

    If you have done nothing but post the avatar as yahoo puts it on the site as your id.. then it is a yahoo bug, and they are not doing any maintenance on this site at all because of the change over thing coming.. hopefully soon..
