Just recently my car has began to shake upon acceleration. When I get into 5th gear it shakes until I am at about 60mph and then it stops. My tires are fine and it does not do it if I do not press the gas.

  1. Sounds like a bad c.v. axel drive shaft or worn control arm bushings Have a great day!! Jake.

  2. I'm with "cliffie" on this one. A broken motor mount will cause vibration until you unload the motor.

Check it this way. Open the hood and have someone stand BESIDE the car. Now, with the BRAKE ON, put the car in drive and gently press the accelerator. If their is more that a couple of inches of engine movement you have a broken mount.

If not, you should have the car checked out at an alignment shop.

  3. tire test put in drive but give no gas let roll  feel anything will be a bad wheel or tire.. after 45 mph most likely tire balance... and then it could be the cv joint..my advice would be a tire store and have it check say ist like you have here have them test drive it or ride a long wil help them decide

  4. my first guess would be motor mounts, second front end out of alighnment ,,,

  5. Check your cv joints. You may be having some binding in there. They will leavy stranded if one of them break.

  6. Sounds like you need a front end alignment.  Take it to a mechanic.
