First, there are about a bazillion instant messaging services out there. We have no idea which one you're talking about if you don't state it in your question.  It's anybody's guess as to why it's not working.  Second, unless you're married or engaged to, or divorcing your instant messenger, you probably won't find much help here in the Marriage & Divorce forum.  I recommend contacting the company that produces your software to pose your question.  They'll probably want something more specific than "It doesn't work as it should".
