Question:

Why has my Samsung remote control stopped working?

Recently I purchased a Samsung LN-T4861F LCD t.v., and it has worked wonderfully until now. I can turn the t.v. on with the remote, but after that, it stops working. I try to change the channel, adjust the volume, etc. and nothing happens. When I press the buttons on the remote the red light on the t.v. blinks, but it doesn't do anything. I can only control the t.v. from the buttons on the t.v. Anybody have any answers??? It's driving me nuts!

  1. Time to buy a new remote...

  2. Your Tv remote is  also equipped to CONTROL other units....

You have probably bumped the MODE buttons and it's set to operate your Audio amp instead of your TV set...

Press the TV button at the top of your remote....

If it still does not work, remove the batteries for one minute and plug them back in....

If it still does not work, you can get a new remote control directly from Samsung, and if it's Under Warranty, make a copy of your purchase reciept, CALL SAMSUNG and follow their instructions to get the remote replaced under warranty.....
