Why has my appetite decreased since I've became pregnant?

I would have thought that I would be *more* hungry, but I am finding that I can't eat nearly what I used to. I get very nauseated if I eat a full serving size.

I am 7 1/2 weeks pregnant. Is decreased appetite normal?

  1. Yes totally normal - just eat smaller meals . I'm going into 38 weeks and having a hard time eating due to acid reflux .

  2. It is part of pregnancy. Early on i had no appetite. Congrats and goodluck!!!

  3. Ha! this is normal. Your'e probably just getting a taste of morning sickness. Enjoy it now, b/c later on you'll be complaining about eating too MUCH!!

  4. same thing happened to my step mom. with both of her kids. they are perfectly healthy even though the try to kill each other at times ;)

  5. at 7.5 weeks your baby is smaller than the growth tip of your fingernail.

it's not hungry b/c it gets everything it needs from the placenta.

i never ate extra whilst pregnant - i was lucky if i could keep a glass of water down.  everyone is different.

the people that eat for two are usually the people who have the hardest time loosing weight - b/c your baby is not craving an extra steak or large order of french fries - trust me.

  6. your body is changing and everything is moving around. once your body become acclimated to being pregnant, you will be eating more.

  7. Different weman have different appeties due to the unbalance of hormones.
