Why has my cat turned against us? :(?

my dad was away 4 a while, but when he came bck the cat turned against him.they were always really close and now shes just turned against him.the even funnier thing is is that she has got closer to me and my sister and my sis is really mean to her.help!!!!!

cats sometimes tend to be very jealous creatures. i know for one i can leave my cat at home & he will not become jealous. my grandmother's cat on the other hand doesn't like when she leaves for work in the morning & doesn't arrive home till late in the afternoon. he actually lashes out on her, for example - he will swat at her, and on other occasions bite her. basically saying, "don't you ever do that c**p again."

She didnt like the fact that you left it. Its always used to being around your dad and suddenly when he was away for too long your cat probably was thinking "he ditched me" and when your dad came back, your cat is probably acting like "this is wat u get for dtiching me!!"

wow poor dad. My cats came back and showed their affection after long separation. Perhaps it is a temporary thing.

Give it some time. It's probably 'mad' at your father for being away for so long, that happens sometimes. But in a little while it should be back to normal if your father is still treating it like he always does.

Haha w/ me, it's the opposite; when we leave for a long while, my 2 cats swarm around us, all loving :P
