Why has my internet gone so slow.?

ok so i have a pretty good connection speed, and it hasnt changed, but for some reason my internet is really slow, not the computer though.. i have delted all my cookies and temporary files, scanned for viruses and spyware and all that and it is still slow.. why is this?? do certain programmes make internet slow..

Hi Sarah

First, try to determine whether it's your connection or your computer.  Try a speed checker at: http://www.broadbandspeedchecker.co.uk/

It will let you know whether your internet connection is good or bad.

If it's bad then I would email your service provider and ask them to look into it.  It could be faulty equipment.

If your internet connection is good then your computer needs some extra housekeeping.  Webroots Window Washer is fab and will clean up your PC although you will have to buy it.

I would get yourself a good Registry Cleaner.  My computer began to slow down too, and I did all the things that you did.  I finally purchased a Registry Cleaner and my computer runs like new.  If you go to www.snapfiles.com you can find a decent RC for free, and it is reliable.  Check it out.
