  1. Has there been a change in his schedule?  Babies and toddlers are used to structure, so any change in their routine may throw them off.  If you still give a bottle, try putting a little rice in it before bedtime.  A warm soothing bath may also allow him to sleep through the night.  My son started sleeping through the night at 3 mos. and I worried because I was told that babies wake up for their 2 am feeding. My doctor told me that was his schedule.  He may also be teething.  Check his gums by running your finger along them to see if you feel any teeth coming through.  Teething can wake a baby up.  Anbesol for babies or some Tylenol or Motrin will fix that.  If you still have concerns, ask your doctor.

  2. i have a 3 yr old daughter and she has begun waking up between 2 and 3 am every night, coming into my room, and telling me she is thirsty. she isnt teething, no schedule changes, nothing like that. i figure its just one of those things where they wake up and miss mommy. just hope it doesnt last too long :)

  3. my  3.5 yr old boy tosses and turns alot-  he went through a huge growth spurt this summer,  at night he might wake up for a sip of water.  and then go straight back to sleep.
