Why has president Bush let the venezuelan dictator do whatever he wants?

Cuba has always been a headache for the States. For much less Reagan invaded Panama in the 80's. How is it possible that Venezuela is our main oil supplier and the american government doesn't seem to care about that country going to the far left? (Communism)

Venezuela is a sovereign state.  Hugo Chavez is the rightfully elected president of Venezuela.  What gives us the right to attack them?  Venezuela hasn't attacked the USA, and poses no threat to the USA.

Would you like it if I came to your house and burned it down because I don't like you?  Then how can you advocate doing such a thing to an entire country?

Venezuela is a separate country. A sovereign country.  We can't just tell them what to do. The excesses of the Bush administration, and their egregious failures in foreign policy, have pushed all of South America to the left.  The next president will have a job on his hands re-establishing our relationships with our neighbors and allies.

It was Bush's dad who invaded Panama.  Reagan invaded the tiny island country of Grenada.  Bush invaded Panama supposedly about drugs, but more drugs went out of there after the war than before.  The same is true of Afghanistan, which is now once again the biggest supplier of heroin in the world.

What can we do about it? We can't just go around the world overthrowing every regime we don't like. Ever heard of blowback?

Mr Reagan invaded Panama for just reason they were the center for drug shipments to America You can thank Mr Carter for this I was working there when they told us they would blow it up if we don't not return it to them which he did A Panamanian military man lived across the hall he would tell my ''You Yankees know were were going to fight you''

During the invasion which was at night this ''man'' come running into my room ''what's going on?'' It was awesome He wanted to stay in my apt Spent most of his time on the pot Never saw that smug look on this face again
